X Lowers Requirements For The Ad Revenue Program

JAKARTA - Platform X, which used to be Twitter, has now lowered user requirements for advertising, from previously requiring 15 million impressions in 3 months, to just 5 million impressions.

"We have lowered the eligibility threshold for profit-sharing from 15 million to 5 million views in the last 3 months," the company wrote in a post on @support.

This essentially means that X Premium (fka Twitter Blue) is free for accounts that generate above 5M views. Note, only views from verified handles count, as scammers will otherwise use bots to spam views to infinity. https://t.co/87MqqyUu2E

In addition, X also announced that it was also lowering the minimum amount of advertising payments, from the previous 50 US dollars (IDR 750 thousand), to 10 US dollars (IDR 150 thousand).

"We have also lowered the minimum payment threshold from $50 to $10," added Elon Musk's social media platform.

Not long after the announcement, Musk also added, and stated that the terms of this advertisement only apply to impressions from verified accounts.

"Noted, only impressions from verified accounts, because scammers will use bots for spatially-infinite views," Musk explained.

Recently, X also introduced a new solution for advertisers, which gives them more control to choose what type of content will appear near their ads.

Called Sensitivity Settings, this tool allows advertisers to choose between different types of content for their ads.

The tool will be available in the coming weeks for advertisers in X Ads Manager.
