Due To An Electric Short Circuit, A Resident's House In The Hangus Kodim Complex Caught Fire

JAKARTA - A fire occurred in a residential area in the Kodim Complex, Jalan Mangga 4, Kodim 0505, RT 05/02, Kramat Jati Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, Monday night, August 7.

"The object that burned the house. The fire scorched the building with an area of about 150 square meters," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed by VOI, Monday, August 7.

From the results of the firefighters' examination, the cause of the fire was suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

"The fire started from the middle of the house. Residents have tried to extinguish it but the fire became big and spread to the front of the house," he said.

As a result of the fire, the owner of the house suffered a loss of Rp. 350 million. The fire extinguishing process was carried out by 14 fire engines with 80 personnel.

"The fire was extinguished at 19.50 WIB. The process of extinguishing the fire was about 30 minutes. Now the fire has been extinguished," he said.

There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire in the residential area. Meanwhile, only 1 unit of the house burned down.
