Proud! Budi Pekerti Film Will Show At The Toronto International Film Festival 2023
JAKARTA - Film produced by Rekata Studio, Budi Pekerti will represent Indonesia to be screened at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September.
The film by director Wregas Bhanuteja is included in the Discovery Toronto International Film Festival program. This program is provided to introduce and appreciate the first or second works of visionary directors
Adi Ekatama as the producer welcomed the screening of Budi Pekerti in TIFF greetings. He saw the disclosure program from the festival as an award for the great filmmaker in the future.
Discovery at TIFF is one of the programs that has given birth to many major filmmakers in today's world. We can be chosen is a matter of pride for myself," Adi Ekatama said at a press conference at Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Friday, August 4.

Angga Yunanda and Prilly Latuconsina, who will later go to Toronto as actors, expressed their enthusiasm. The reason is, they have not even played in films that participate in international festivals.
"It looks like it will be an interesting experience. Moreover, this is the first festival for both of us. It will be very fun later," said Angga Yunanda.
"I can't wait to see the audience's response there when I watch the film. Honestly, I'm nervous, I hope the film can be received well," said Prilly Latuconsina.
Meanwhile, Budi Pekerti is set in the city of Yogyakarta during the pandemic. This film is centered on the story of Mrs. Prani, a BK teacher whose video of a dispute with market visitors has gone viral on social media. Due to the viral video, he had to accept bullying, and even other mistakes continued to be sought, so he had to be threatened with losing his job.
In the film Budi Pekerti, Angga Yunanda and Prilly Latuconsina as Muklas and Tita, Sha Ine Febriyanti plays Bu Prani, Dwi Sasono as Pak Didit; Omara Esteghlal as Gora and Ari Lesmana as Tunas.
