Vice President Concerning The Age Limit For Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates: Later The Constitutional Court Will Consider The Bad
SEBALIK - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin submitted a decision regarding the minimum age of presidential and vice presidential candidates to the judicial review decision at the Constitutional Court (MK).
"Regarding the age of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, if I leave it to the Constitutional Court, consider it good and bad, yes. Is it possible to maintain above 40 or for example to reach the age of 35," said the Vice President on Sebatik Island, North Kalimantan, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 3.
This was conveyed by the Vice President after laying the first stone for the construction of the As'adiyah Islamic Boarding School Flats, in Sebatik, North Kalimantan, Thursday.
The vice president answered reporters' questions regarding the judicial review of the rules regarding the minimum age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the Election Law requested by the Petitioner from a number of elements, to be returned from the current 40 years to 35 years.

The vice president said that there are already institutions that have the right to discuss and consider this matter, namely the Constitutional Court.
According to him, the government can only follow whatever the Constitutional Court's decision is, because the Constitutional Court's decision is final and binding.
