Budiman Sudjatmiko Not Sanctioned By PDIP Regarding The Meeting With Prabowo
Chairman of the PDI-P DPP for Honorary Affairs Komarudin Watubun said no sanctions were given to Budiman Sudjatmiko after visiting the residence of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate (candidate).
This was conveyed by Komarudin when giving a statement after asking Budiman for clarification from Budiman Sudjatmiko at the PDIP DPP office, Jakarta, Friday, July 28.
"No (there are sanctions), only warning to return to the organizational line," said Komarudin, quoted by ANTARA.
Even so, he only gave a warning to Budiman to return to the path of party organizations.
According to Komarudin, Budiman's arrival to Prabowo's private house was not to express his support in the 2024 presidential election. Budiman admitted that his intention was only to consolidate the two presidential candidates who are currently running as president.
"Earlier I called him, he explained that his intention was not to support Pak Prabowo, in fact he wanted a consolidation of candidates who were considered candidates for reform, let's say that," he said.
Budiman, continued Komarudin, saw that the candidate for presidential candidate from PDIP Ganjar Pranowo was a figure who represented the presidential candidate from the reform generation. Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto is a presidential candidate from the New Order generation.
"Pak Ganjar as the generation of Reform, and Pak Prabowo as the generation of the New Order, I think. How to reconcile for Indonesia's better future," added Komar.
Not only that, Komarudin emphasized that he had the task of ensuring that all PDIP cadres, both at the management level and party members, were to be upright in accordance with the direction of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri in supporting Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in 2024.
"Earlier I emphasized, but my obligation as Chairman of the Honorary Sector must ensure that all steps taken by PDIP cadres, both administrators and party members are only one, winning Ganjar Pranowo because it is the party's decision," he concluded.
