Bareksrim Polri Ragukan Surat Dokter Panji Gumilang
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police doubts the doctor's letter attached to the Panji Gumilang legal team regarding the health condition of the head of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.
The doctor's letter was submitted to investigators as evidence that Panji Gumilang was sick and could not fulfill the summons for examination on Thursday, July 27, yesterday.
"However, it's just a doctor's letter that we think formally cannot be proven," said the Director of General Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Friday, July 28.
Investigators then decided to reschedule the examination of Panji Gumilang in the alleged blasphemy case on Tuesday, August 1.
It is hoped that the leadership of the Al Zayun Islamic Boarding School can fulfill and provide information regarding allegations of blasphemy.
"We call as witnesses to explain what was the act or what was alleged by the reporter," said Djuhandani.
Panji Gumilang did not attend the examination as a witness in the alleged blasphemy case at Bareskrim Polri on July 27. The reason is because he is tired of the various activities he is undergoing.

Meanwhile, Panji's current activities such as teaching and being involved in several studies are referred to as activities for the leaders of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.
"If you feel that you can walk in your hand, if that's still possible. However, there is a pain of fatigue, so much activity, then today we are unable to attend," said Panji Gumilang's attorney, M. Ali Syaifudin.
Panji Gumilang was originally investigated for the first time in the investigation stage on July 3. At that time, he was said to have acknowledged all his statements circulating in the form of videos.
One of the videos circulating on social media, Panji Gumilang, said that the Qur'an was an essay by the Prophet Muhammad.
