Political Indicators Survey, Prabowo Superior Among Generation Z, Millennials, And Baby Boomers
JAKARTA - The latest survey results from Indonesian Political Indicators show that Prabowo Subianto excels in three voter age groups, namely Generation Z, millennial generation, and baby boomers. These results are compared to Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan.
"40.5 percent of Generation Z chose Pak Prabowo, including the millennial generation," said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators, Burhanuddin Muhtadi as monitored through the YouTube channel of Indonesian Political Indicators in Jakarta, Sunday, July 23.
Based on the simulation of the choice of three presidential candidates according to the generation group, Prabowo was ahead by 40.5 percent among generation Z, and 37.1 percent among the millennial generation, and 41.3 percent among baby boomers.
Then among generation X and interwar generation, Prabowo both won 30.2 percent of support.
Meanwhile, continued Burhanudin, Ganjar Pranowo was ahead among the X generation with 39.8 percent. Then in a row, Ganjar won support among Generation Z by 35.5 percent, 34.8 percent among the millennial generation, 31.3 percent among baby boomers, and 16.9 percent among interwar generation.

"The difference between the millennial generation who chose Pak Prabowo and those who chose Ganjar was insignificant," he said.
Meanwhile, he added, Anies Baswedan is superior among interwar generation with 52.9 percent of support. "Even though Mas Anies is strong in the interwar generation, there are only a few electoral numbers of the old generation," he said.
In a row, Anies won 22 percent of the Z generation, 21.9 percent of the millennial generation, 23.4 percent of the X generation, and 14.2 percent of the baby boomers.
Generation Z is an age group born in the 1997-2012 range, the millennial generation was born in 1981-1996, generation X was born in 1965-1980, baby boomers were born in 1946-1964, and interwar generation was born in 1918-1943. The term Interwar Generation refers to the period between World War I and World War II, which took place from 1918 to 1945.
The survey, which was conducted from June 20 to 24, 2023, was conducted with a survey population consisting of Indonesian citizens who have the right to vote in the election, namely those aged 17 years or older, or were married when the survey was conducted.
Sampling was carried out using a multistage random sampling method which was attended by 1,220 respondents. Interviews were conducted face-to-face, with a margin of error of approximately 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
