Latest Chevrolet Trailblazer Is In South Korea, Valued Starting At IDR 315 Million
JAKARTA - The provider of General Motors (GM) vehicles in South Korea, GM Korea, presented its flagship compact SUV, Chevrolet Trailblazer, recently.
The SUV comes with several updates, such as changes to the engine, design, and features presented to meet consumer needs in South Korea.
Quoted from Yonhap, Wednesday, July 19, Trailblazer comes with the same platform as the compact SUV from GM, Buick Encore GX, so it can offer reliable driving performance.
According to Roberto Rempel, as CEO of GM Korea, Trailblazer offers an elegant design, but has excellent performance and excellence.
"Reliability is at the heart of the SUV. These vehicles should be designed for harsher environments, off-road conditions, heavy loads, long trips, and sometimes hundreds of miles of driving without service assistance," said Rempel.
In the engine sector, the SUV is presented with the latest engine, namely E-Turbo 1.35 liters of gasoline. This machine will later work with two driving and transmission systems according to customer options.
First, the Trailblazer comes with a version of the front wheel coupled with continuous variable transmission (CVT) VT40 and four-wheel drive with an automatic transmission of nine hydramatic accelerations.
The rival from Hyundai Creta will be valued starting from 27 million won or around Rp315 million. Prices can go up to 31 million won which is equivalent to Rp362.4 million.
GM brought Trailblazer to South Korea instead of without reason. This is because GM products sell quite well in the Ginseng Country. During the first half of 2023, GM car sales jumped to 75 percent or as many as 214,306 units.
GM Korea will also carry out a two-way strategy to sell its vehicles, namely domestically and imported from outside.
Chevrolet Trailblazer is a locally produced vehicle, in addition to Chevrolet Trax. Then, the other six models are imported products, consisting of Chevrolet Colorado, Equinox, tenze, and Tahoe, as well as the GMC brand pickup, Sierra Denali.
