Police Thwart Circulation Of 10 Kg Of Shabu In Tarakan
The Tarakan Police Team, North Kalimantan managed to thwart the circulation of 10 kilograms of methamphetamine.
"Two suspected dealers have been named as suspects in the narcotics disclosure case this time with the initials BR (40) and SL (43)," said Tarakan Police Chief, AKBP Ronaldo Maradona TP Siregar as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 18.
The suspects BR and SL were arrested by Tarakan Police personnel. Currently, there is still one person on the wanted list (DPO).
The arrests were made at Jalan Gajah Mada RT 17, Juata Laut Village, Tarakan on July 12 at around 14.00 WITA and in the shooting area of Marungu, Bulungan Regency.
"Furthermore, a follow-up was carried out and initially managed to secure a person with the initials SL. Then carried out a search witnessed by the head of the local RT and found a suction device," said the Police Chief.
From the results of SL's interrogation, it was found that the first perpetrator who was arrested left methamphetamine to the second suspect with the initials BR.
Meanwhile, the location that was secured was in the dispute area where the methamphetamine was hidden.
During the search, initially one small clear plastic was found, then interrogated by BR until finally the personnel got another item hidden in a Nipah tree.
"So the first methamphetamine we found weighing four kilograms first, then six packs hidden in the Nipah tree there. So in the pond area there are many Nipah trees. So between the Nipah trees are hidden," said Ronaldo.

The methamphetamine found was packaged in Chinese tea plastic with nine plastic packages that read Guanyin Wang, Zensudi and there were also clear plastic wrap, as well as other evidence in the form of cash amounting to Rp5,000,000.
"The results of the calculation of a total of 10 kilograms of narcotics have been thwarted, the estimated human beings were rescued as many as 49,941 people," said Ronaldo.
