Bandung City Police Deploys Personnel At Points Prone To Traffic Jam For Eid al-Adha Long Holiday 2023
JABAR - The Bandung City Police has deployed its personnel in the framework of securing the 2023 Eid al-Adha long holiday. They are deployed at a number of points that are prone to traffic jams.
The Head of City Police Bandung Kombes Pol Budi Sartono said, the security was specifically carried out on tourist routes where it was predicted that there would be a surge in tourists entering the city of Bandung and the Greater Bandung area.
"We are preparing a security order (letter) for tourist attractions, entertainment venues, and sightseeing, we will deploy all of them. God willing, we will provide a sense of security to visitors to the city of Bandung, including for security," said Budi at the Bandung City Police, Bandung City, West Java, Tuesday, June 27, as reported by Antara.
Budi explained the points that are potentially prone to traffic jams include the entrance to the Pasteur Toll Road, then Sukajadi Street and Dago Street which lead to the Lembang tourist area, then access to Bandung City from Bandung Regency and Cimahi City.
According to him, the deployment of personnel will be carried out starting Wednesday, June 28 when the collective leave or long holiday of Eid al-Adha 2023 begins.
Budi said, in several security operations on holidays, the Bandung City Police usually prepares around 2,000 personnel. But now, he said, the number will be increased.
"The number of our personnel has been increased. More than usual," he said.

Apart from securing tourism-related routes and activities, according to him, the police also secured Muslim places of worship at various points in the city of Bandung related to Eid al-Adha.
"Because there are two religious activities here, Eid prayers which are held on Wednesday and Thursday, and we are preparing security for religious activities, including for long holidays," he said.
