Marquez's Condition At Repsol Honda Makes Ducati Iba Boss: He Is In An Un Supposed Position
JAKARTA - The situation experienced by Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, caused pity to the boss of Ducati, Gigi Dall Igna. He regretted Marquez who was currently in a place he should not be.
Until the 2023 season break, Marc Marquez has only pocketed 15 points. The combination of poor accidents, injuries, and motorcycle performance made Marquez unable to be maximal in the race series.
The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien has not even won points from the main race to the 8th series in the Netherlands. So far Marquez has only collected points from the sprint race session.
"It will never be nice to see a true champion like (Marc) Marquez suffer and take a lot of risks like he did," Dall "Igna was quoted as saying by the US on Tuesday, June 27.
"To be honest, he didn't get the position he should have been in," he added.
Even though he admits that he feels sorry for Marcquez's current situation, Dall'Igna actually avoids questions about opportunities and the possibility of Ducati signing The Baby Alien. The reason is that Marquez currently still has a contract with Repsol Honda until 2024.
At the same moment Dall Igna actually highlighted the achievements of his rider, Francesco Bagnaia in the Dutch MotoGP. Regarding the results obtained by Bagnaia, Dall Igna admitted that this was an impressive score, especially when there were complaints from the rider on Friday.
"We are very happy. There is nothing else that is more worth saying. This is a long weekend because on Friday, Pecco (Francesco Bagnaia) still feels uncomfortable with motorbikes," said the Italian.
"It's been a tough week but we can end it amazingly."
In the race in the Dutch MotoGP, Bagnaia managed to win after beating Marco Bezzecchi and Brad Binder. Bagnaia is now the leader of the standings with a score of 194 points, 35 points ahead of Jorge Martin who is in second place.
