7 Teenagers Responsibility Of TIP Perpetrators Arrested In Jambi, Victims Exploited As Prostitutes
JAMBI - Sub-Directorate IV Team Renakta Ditreskrimum Jambi Police revealed allegations of trafficking in persons (TPPO) by arresting seven suspected perpetrators.
The seven perpetrators had the initials DK (20), EB (19), OS (20), RR (17), MA (17), AR, (17), and DS (17). All still teenagers were arrested at a five-star hotel in the Jambi City area.

Two perpetrators of DK and EB were arrested on Wednesday, June 21 at around 11.45 WIB. Meanwhile, five other perpetrators were also arrested on the same day at around 20.45 WIB.
Meanwhile, for victims in the crime of trafficking in persons, there are two people, namely the initials D and ZT.
He explained that at that time the team received information about the alleged online trafficking of people by utilizing two chat applications.
The two applications are often used as a means of communicating to find orders and distribution of women to be exploited into commercial sex workers (PSK) in the jurisdiction of the Jambi Police.

From the arrests of two DK and EB perpetrators, the police confiscated a number of evidences including Rp350,000 in cash, two mobile phones containing evidence of requests for prostitution services from the application, as well as safety equipment.
Meanwhile, evidence from five people trafficking perpetrators, namely cash from online prostitution worth Rp. 2.1 million, three cell phones and also safety equipment.
Two suspected perpetrators of trafficking in persons who were arrested were suspected of Article 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 21 of 2007 and sentenced to a minimum imprisonment of three years and a maximum of 15 years.
Meanwhile, five other perpetrators are suspected of Article 76 F Jo. Article 83 of the Republic of Indonesia Law in 2002 concerning child protection shall be punished with imprisonment for a minimum of three years and a maximum of 15 years.
