Potentially Natural System Failure, Mazda Withdraws 18 CX-90 Units

JAKARTA - Recently, Mazda made a recall on their SUV, namely Mazda CX-90 2024, with 18 units.

Although the number of units affected was not large, Mazda noted a potential damage to the front system that could cause accidents.

Reporting from Carscoops on Thursday, June 22, Mazda found concerns about a vital front suspension and the possible release of the steering component.

This condition involves four main depletions on these components, including the nuts and bolts that connect the steering system, bolts that install the center axis and steering wheel, as well as other bolts that connect ABS wheel speed sensors with the steering system. This component is known to be not installed properly and requires inspection.

Mazda is actually aware of this matter based on two field reports from Japan. They immediately conducted an investigation after knowing the system was not installed properly. On June 13, Mazda recalled 18 affected units and immediately contacted the owner of the SUV to take the vehicle to the official dealers for checking.

To solve this problem, technicians will check the affected parts to ensure that the system is properly installed.

Luckily, there were no reports of accidents or injuries related to this matter. Mazda CX-90 2024 owners can contact local Mazda dealers for further information.

Mazda CX-90 is the only SUV belonging to this Japanese manufacturer that has three rows of seats. This car comes in eight trims.

Powered by a 3.3 liter 6-cylinder turbo engine, Mazda CX-90 is also available in the PHEV variant. With this engine, the car can generate between 280 and 340 dk of power.
