Bawaslu Sends Findings Of Violations Of 8 Voting Committees To The Makassar KPU
MAKASSAR - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Makassar City, South Sulawesi, sent eight names of members of the village Voting Committee (PPS) who had been examined regarding findings of alleged violations of the code of ethics. The eight PPS participated in a meeting with prospective legislative candidates (bacaleg).
"Today we are submitting this finding to the Makassar KPU," said Chairman of Makassar Bawaslu Abdillah Mustari as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.
The report is forwarded after the results of the examination and follow-up to the residents' reports as reporters regarding the alleged violation of the code of ethics of the adhoc organizers.
In addition, based on the results of a study of the findings of alleged violations at the 2024 General Election stage, the Makassar City Bawaslu was notified of the status of the findings of alleged violations with the following number 002/Reg/TM/PL/KOTA/2701/VI/2023.
The eight PPS members served in Tamalate District, each with the initials AB, Chairman of PPS Tanjung Merdeka Village, A Chairman of PPS Ballang Baru Village, and BS Member of PPS Bongaya Village,
Furthermore, H Member of PPS Parang, Tambung Village. I Chairperson of PPS Maccini Sombala Village, MJR Chairman of PPS Bongaya Village, MNS Chairperson of PPS Parang Tambung Village and S Chairman of PPS Pa'baeng Village-baeng Village.
The eight Adhoc organizers whose names have been checked have been forwarded to the Makassar KPU so that they can be followed up in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

Confirmed separately, Makassar KPU Chairman Faridl Wajdi said he had received information regarding the names of PPS who were suspected of violating the election organizers' code of ethics.
"We have received information on these names and for that we fully appreciate and support the Makassar City Bawaslu. We are ready to cooperate with Bawaslu, including it will be responsive to the results of Bawaslu's studies on the report," said Faridl.
Regarding the eight PPS residents reportedly attending a political meeting in one of the places with community organizations indicated to be facilitated by candidates.
Even the results of the study and examination of Bawaslu concerned received transportation money.
