Jambi Police Reveals TIP Case, 13 Perpetrators Of Prostitutes' Pimps Arrested
JAMBI - Jambi Regional Police (Polda) revealed 11 cases of alleged criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with 13 suspects with the mode of distributing commercial sex workers (PSK).
The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Pol Mulia Prianto, said that after the formation of the TIP Task Force, the Jambi Police had uncovered 11 cases from the disclosure of all Polres ranks of the Jambi Police, with a total of 11 victims.
In the TIP case that was revealed, he said, it was known that the modus operandi of the perpetrators was to make victims a commercial sex worker (CSW) through an application, where the perpetrators acted as pimps.
"To this day, the Jambi Police TIP Task Force has handled 11 cases with 13 suspects," Mulia said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 16.
The agents or distributors of prostitutes who have been named as suspects, he said, are the result of the disclosure of cases from the Jambi Police Criminal Investigation Directorate and the ranks of the Resort Police, especially when they were from Tanjung Jabang Barat Regency with two cases.
"Until now, the TIP Task Force team continues to search and trace all activities that are suspected to be trafficking in persons," he said.
He said the police also asked the Jambi community for help, if they had any information on the alleged trafficking of people in any form, they would immediately report it to the local Police so that it could be followed up immediately.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Sub-Directorate IV PPA Team of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Jambi Police revealed the case of TIP alleged online prostitution practices, and secured three admins of online prostitution accounts, namely R (17), A (20), and Z (18).
Kasubdit IV Direskrimum Jambi Police AKBP Kristian Adi Wibawa said the disclosure began after his party received information from the public through social media regarding the alleged TIP of online prostitution at a hotel in Jambi City.
