The Rise Of TIP Cases, Police Arrest 414 Suspects In 10 Days
JAKARTA - The National Police's Trafficking Crime Task Force (TPPO) received 314 reports within 10 days. In handling them, 414 people were named as suspects. "The National Police's TIP Task Force arrested 414 suspects. This figure is based on data from June 5 to 15, 2023," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Friday, June 16. Based on the data received, of the 314 reports 237 of them were related to TIP. Meanwhile, the rest regarding the crime of protecting Indonesian migrant workers (PMI). Then, of the hundreds of reports, 1,314 victims could be saved. They consist of 507 adult women, 76 girls, 707 adult men, and 24 boys. "Based on case disclosure data, currently 64 cases are under investigation and 250 cases are under investigation," said Ramadhan.
