Police Set DPO Owners Of Dozens Of Hectares Of Cannabis In Nagan Raya

NAGAN RAYA - Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, issued a wanted list (DPO) status regarding the ownership of tens of hectares of marijuana fields in Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District, a local district that was successfully destroyed in mid-April 2023.

"Those we have determined are the DPO status, namely Irham alias Father Nopi (40 years) and Nasir (30 years) residents of Beutong Ateuh Village, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District, Nagan Raya Regency," said Head of Narcotics at Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, Ipda Vitra Ramadhani as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 14.

He explained that the determination of the DPO status for the two residents was after the police conducted a series of investigations regarding the findings of 40 hectares of marijuana fields in the Blang Meurandeh Village area, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District, Aceh.

The police who conducted the investigation then received information pointing to the two men, and currently the status of the suspects has been determined to both of them.

In addition to determining the DPO status of the two suspects, his party also determined the status of a suspect to another perpetrator related to narcotics trafficking. The man who is currently being sought by a police officer named Adi ENK (45 years), a resident of Krueng Seumayam Village, Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency. Ipda Vitra Ramadhani said his party would continue to hunt down the suspects who have been designated as DPO Nagan Raya Police, in order to be legally responsible for their actions. "Wherever the suspect is hiding, we will still pursue him until he is caught," said Ipda Vitra Ramadhani added. Previously in mid-April 2023, Nagan Raya Police personnel together with a joint team of members of Korem 012/Teuku Umar carried out the destruction of a 40 hectare marijuana field in the Blang Meurandeh Village area, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District, Aceh.

On the way to the location, the joint team found that there were approximately 5 kilograms of cannabis plants that had been harvested piled up in the hut.

Then the joint intelligence team continued its journey to the first point of review, and at this location it found that there were cannabis fields that were ready to harvest with an area of about 40 hectares, with 11 location points.

The 11-point marijuana field is located at the coordinates of 4,4183971.96,5817149.

During the implementation of the prosecution and destruction of cannabis fields in the area, security was also carried out by Brimob Yon C Pioneer personnel, Battalion 116/GS personnel, Kodim 0116/Nagan Raya personnel, BNN Prov Aceh personnel, members of the Nagan Raya Police KPH and Nagan Raya Police.
