Introduced As Liverpool's New Player, Alexis MacAllister: It Feels Amazing
JAKARTA - Liverpool officially introduced Alexis MacAllister as their new player. The Argentine midfielder was brought in from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Liverpool did not specify the term of the contract and its value.
MacAllister will wear the number 10 jersey at Liverpool. The jersey number was previously worn by Sadio Mane before moving to Bayern Munich in the 2022/2023 season.
"We have reached an agreement for Alexis MacAllister's transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion in a long-term deal at an undisclosed cost," read an official announcement from the club's social media, Thursday, June 8.
MacAllister caught Liverpool's attention after a fantastic season with former Brighton and the Argentine national team.
With Brighton, the 24-year-old is a mainstay in midfield for two coaches who have coached The Seagulls in one season, namely Graham Potter and Roberto De Zerbi.
Recording 40 appearances in the Premier League and FA Cup, MacAllister contributed 12 goals and three assists.

"Since winning the World Cup, I've said that I want to win more trophies and I think this club will help me make it happen. That's the goal and when you're in big clubs like this you have to do it, win trophies," MacAllister said.
"Since arriving here, I can see how big this club is, the players we have, the staff, everything. I am very happy and looking forward to playing for this club," he added.
