Singapore Open 2023 Results: Rinov/Pitha Eliminate Your Own Partners, Gregoria And Bagas/Fikri Follow To The Last 16
JAKARTA - Indonesian mixed doubles Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas won the ticket to the last 16 of the Singapore Open 2023. The result was obtained after they defeated their own partner, Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti.
At the meeting in the round of 32 which took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Wednesday, June 7 morning, Rinov/Pitha won with a long effort. Passing the 49-minute duel, the meeting with Praveen/Melati was won by Rinov/Pitha after passing the game ruber with a score of 21-17, 19-21 and 21-16.
Rinov/Pitha's steps were followed by Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. Gregoria's efforts turned out to be as difficult as Rinov/Pitha went through.
Facing Beiwen Zhang who is Malaysia's representative, Gregoria faced severe resistance.
The Indonesian women's singles have to face a long match by going through the game ruber. Having faced resistance in the second game, Gregoria finally won after a 53 minute battle with a score of 21-11, 17-21, and 21-16.
Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana also got sweet results. The last 16 tickets were won after they won easily over Lee Yang/ Wang Chi Lin.
Different from the previous two colleagues, Bagas/Fikri's struggle was fairly easy. The reason is, they were able to ensure victory in only two games ending 21-18 and 21-19.
