Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Availability Of Avtur For Hajj Flights At Hang Nadim Batam Airport
BATAM- Pertamina Patra Niaga Region of North Sumatra (Sumbagut) ensures the availability of avtur to serve Hajj flights at Batam Embarkation, Hang Nadim Batam International Airport, Riau Islands.
Freddy Anwar, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, explained that the 2023 Hajj flights at Hang Nadim Airport will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 will take place from May 24 to June 22, 2023, while phase 2 will take place from July 4 to August 2, 2023.
"In addition to ensuring the increasing need for aviation, we guarantee the supply for other flights, both international and domestic, to be well maintained at Hang Nadim Airport. We ensure the availability of avtur for Hang Nadim Airport during this Hajj period and we are ready to support this energy supply," Freddy said in a statement received in Batam, Saturday, May 27.
He added that Hang Nadim Airport will serve 32 hajj batches in phase 1 and phase 2, with a total of 64 hajj flights by 2023.

Riki Madyanto, Manager of Corporate, Operation and Services (COS) Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, said that his party had made thorough preparations to welcome the 2023 Hajj season.
"We have coordinated with stakeholders and strengthened the avtur stock at the Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU) well. This is done to support the smooth implementation of the 2023 Hajj pilgrimage," he said.
He also mentioned that special aviation consumption at Hang Nadim Batam International Airport is estimated at around 2,610 KL.
Meanwhile, Hang Nadim's DPPU supply resilience on May 26, 2023 reached more than 10 days, but this figure does not include supplies at the Batam Fuel Terminal and those on the tanker.
"Daily avtur consumption for Hajj services is estimated at 75 KL per day during the Hajj service period at Hang Nadim Airport," said Riki Madyanto.
