Bareskrim Will Collaborate With PPATK To Investigate Indications Of Drug Circulation Funds 'flowing' In The 2024 General Election

The Directorate of Narcotics Crime, Bareskrim Polri, found indications of the use of funds from narcotics trafficking for contestation in the 2024 General Election. In its investigation, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPAT) will be involved.

"If the data is accurate and there are legal facts, then we will coordinate (with PPATK, ed)," said Deputy Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Jayadi when confirmed, Wednesday, May 24.

For now, the investigation into the alleged use of narcotics trafficking funds for the 2024 election contestation is still ongoing. The search for evidence and clues to strengthen the allegation is still in progress.

"The ranks are still investigating," he said.

Meanwhile, the emergence of the allegation was based on the results of the arrest of legislative members who were involved in narcotics cases in several areas.

Therefore, all levels of Bareskrim Polri have been asked to take preventive measures. The directive was given during a technical work meeting (rakernis) in Bali, on Wednesday, May 24.

"That's why the Bareskrim meeting gave a warning to the ranks to anticipate," Jayadi said.
