Contract Technology With Nuclear Blast, Cryptopsy Prepares First Full Abum In More Than 1 Decade

JAKARTA - Veteran death metal Cryptopsy officially signed a contract with Nuclear Blast Records.

One of Canada's most violent bands will be releasing its first full album in more than a decade later this year.

"We are excited to join the Nuclear Blast roster. Many of the bands we love and some of our friends have released a deadly album through Nuclear Blast. In 2012, we became an independent band," said Cryptopsy vocalist Matt McGachy in his statement.

"Now in 2023, we have decided to work with one of the most influential metal labels. We are eager to perform with the world's best metal artists and can't wait to reveal the next Cryptopsy era as the Nuclear Blast artist."

The details of the long-awaited cryptopsy eighth album will be revealed in the coming months.

Starting in Montreal, Cryptopsy was formed in 1992 and has since been supported by the extraordinary drummer, Flo Mounier.

Over the past three decades, the band has been a respected and influential wing of North America's metal underground scene.

Innovative albums such as Blasphemy Made Flesh (1994), nine So Vile (1996), and Once Was Not (2005) helped define the technical death metal genre.

Since releasing Cryptopsy in 2012, Cryptopsy released two EPs, The Book Of Suffering - Tome I (2015) and The Book Of Suffering - Tome II (2018).
