SOEs Support The Acceleration Of Electric Vehicle Growth In Indonesia Through PEVS 2023
JAKARTA - The 2023 Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) will be supported by several state-owned companies to accelerate the growth of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
The state-owned companies that support the exhibition in the electric vehicle industry are the State Electricity Company (PLN), Mandiri Tunas Finance (MTF) as the Official Leasing Partner, and are supported by PT Farmindo Alfa Spectrum Teknologi (FAST).
President Director of PT FAMINDO ALFA SPECTRUM TEKNOLOGI (FAST), Will Hadiwijaya, expressed his desire to contribute to accelerating electric vehicles in Indonesia. By participating in PEVS 2023, Hadiwijaya said that this step was the focus of his company to oversee the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.
"We will escort all electric vehicle players in Indonesia so that the gap in the development of the Indonesian electricity industry must be accompanied by the best quality of security so that no party is harmed," Hadiwijaya said in his official statement.
In terms of vehicle financing, Mandiri Tunas Finance proves its support for electric vehicle financing. Deputy Director of PT Mandiri Tunas Finance, Afri Feder Fauzi, said that the electric vehicle payment system is no different from conventional fuel vehicles. His party provides attractive offers during the 2023 PEVS performance, such as interest ranging from 0%, the same DP as conventional cars, the same 7-year-old tenor as conventional cars, and CashAja or Multipurpose purchase programs with interest ranging from 0.5% to 0.6%, specifically at PEVS 2023 alone.
Director of Retail and Commerce of PT PLN (Persero), Edi Srimulyanti, stated that currently there is no longer any reason for the public not to use electric vehicles. He said that with very cheap operational costs for electric vehicles, of course it is a consideration for the public to prefer electric transportation that is more environmentally friendly.
"Electricity from PLN is one of the domestic products so that if the Indonesian EV ecosystem uses electricity products from PLN, it can reduce imports and increase domestic product consumption in the future," concluded Srimulyanti.
In order to support the growth of electric vehicles, PLN has provided 616 SPKLU units in 300 locations throughout Indonesia.
