Even Though It's Just A Layer, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Opens Up Opportunities To Return To Barcelona
JAKARTA - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is widely rumored to be returning to Barcelona in the transfer market this summer. He is projected to be the coating in front of the Blaugrana.
Interestingly, Aubameyang admitted that it opened up opportunities to return to Camp Nou. Moreover, currently his condition at Chelsea is also not very encouraging.
"And I'm happy to return to Barca, but we'll see what happens," Aubameyang told Mundo Deportivo.
The news about Aubameyang's return to play for Barcelona has been quite widely heard in recent times. Currently, Aubameyang has struggled to compete in front of Chelsea after the Blues have several new players such as Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix.
This condition made Aubameyang consider the option to return to Barcelona after being able to record only one goal out of a total of 15 appearances with Chelsea in the Premier League.
The Gabon player was brought in by Chelsea from Barcelona at the start of the 2022/2023 season, but Aubameyang failed to find his spur with the London club.
Barcelona are reported to have reconsidered bringing Aubameyang back because the club's financial condition has shown good progress, as reported by Antara.
On the other hand, Chelsea are also reportedly open to releasing the 33-year-old, even on a free transfer so that Barcelona can bring Aubameyang without transfer fees.
