State Losses In The Corruption Case Of Village Fund Allocation In Abubu, Central Maluku, Reaches IDR 800 Million
MALUKU - Cases of alleged corruption and misuse of Village Funds as well as Allocation of Village Funds for Abubu Country, Nusalau District in Central Maluku Regency, Maluku for the 2016-2018 fiscal year caused state financial losses of Rp800 million."In this case, there is one suspect with the initials ML alias Tinus who is the former Head of the Abubu State Government," said Head of Penkum and Public Relations of the Maluku Attorney General's Office Wahyudi Kareba in Ambon, Antara, Friday, May 5.This state loss is in accordance with the results of the examination of the Central Maluku Regency Inspectorate as the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP).Currently, stage II has been handed over to the suspect by investigators from the Ambon District Attorney's Office in Saparua to the public prosecutor.According to him, the suspect began to be detained by investigators for 20 days starting from March 08 - 27, 2023 and was extended by the public prosecutor from March 28 to May 6, 2023.Head of the Ambon Kejari Branch in Saparua Ardian said the suspect had been brought to Ambon for the second phase of submission to the public prosecutor."Suspect Tinus was also asked several questions regarding his role and responsibility in managing DD-ADD from 2016 to 2018," explained Ardian.The person concerned was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) Juncto Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the criminal act of corruption Juncto Article 64 (1) of the Criminal Code, Article 3 Juncto Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption.
"Currently, the suspect has been detained at the Waiheru Class II Detention Center for 20 days based on a detention warrant number 67/Q.1.10.1/ft.1/05/2023 dated May 4, 2023 for the next 20 days to wait for the trial process.
