The Shooting Of The MUI Office, Vice President Ma'ruf Asked MUI Ulama To Stay Strong In Preaching
Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin asked the scholars and cadres of the Indonesian Ulema Council to remain steadfast in carrying out the duties of da'wah after the shooting incident at the Central MUI Office in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 2.
This was said by Masduki Baidlowi as the spokesman for Vice President Ma'ruf Amin when delivering the Vice President's message regarding the shooting incident at the MUI Headquarters.
"To the ulama and MUI cadres in various regions from the center to the regions, they are expected to remain steadfast and also not to be afraid to carry out the tasks of da'wah," he said in a video recording, Tuesday, May 2, confiscated by Antara.
Masduki conveyed the message of Vice President Ma'ruf so that MUI scholars and cadres are not affected by the various obstacles and threats that occur and always carry out the task of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar or invite people to a good path within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Masduki said that Vice President Ma'ruf was concerned about the shooting incident and emphasized that brutal acts were life-threatening and disturbing public order could not be justified for any reason.

The vice president as Chairman of the MUI Advisory Council handed over the investigation of the shooting incident to the police as the authorities and asked the police to investigate it thoroughly to reveal the motive of the perpetrator.
"The vice president instructed to thoroughly investigate this case quickly and openly so as not to cause polemics in the community," said Masduki.
Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, who was once the General Chair of MUI for the 2015 to 2020 period, also appealed to the public, especially Muslims, not to be provoked and to remain calm and maintain a conducive situation of community life in the context of the nation and state.
