Ganjar Capres PDIP, Golkar Is More Confident In The Form Of A Big Coalition
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Ace Hasan Syadzily said his party was increasingly confident in prioritizing the formation of the Great Coalition, after the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo was officially promoted as a presidential candidate in 2024 by the PDIP.
According to Ace, Ganjar's candidacy could actually accelerate the formation of the Great Coalition.
It is known that the Great Coalition is a merger of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) formed by Golkar-PAN-PPP and the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) formed by Gerindra-PKB.
"Yes, the assessment has already started, so I think if you look at the dynamics, surely this Great Coalition will continue to communicate intensely," said Ace in his statement, Saturday, April 22.
Ace admitted that the determination of Ganjar as a PDIP presidential candidate made the formation of political configurations clearer. This also affects the existence of existing coalitions, including the discourse on forming the Grand Coalition.
"Yes, I think this dynamic must be addressed, so as we know the announcement, PDIP is faster than expected. So, this will also definitely encourage the stronger configuration of the 2024 presidential election," said Ace.
Ace also emphasized that the discourse on forming the Great Coalition did not interfere with KIB's solidity. According to him, KIB has remained solid and is increasingly communicating with KKIR to form the Great Coalition.
"Insyaallah, the KIB itself is solid as stated by Mr. Ketum. And KIB with the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition where Gerindra and PKB also continue to communicate, so it means that the assessment will make this Great Coalition more intense. Especially now, Pdip has announced its presidential candidate," concluded Ace.
