57 KPK Detainees Will Pray Eid Al-Fitr At Pomdam Jaya Guntur Detention Center

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK accommodates the rights of detainees to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri. The KPK provides a place for them to worship at the Jaya Guntur Pomdam Detention Center, Jakarta. "57 people are Muslim prisoners," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 20. Ali said, as of April 20, 2023, the total number of KPK detainees was 75 people. Five Catholic prisoners, 13 Protestant adherents, the rest are Muslim. Ali ensured that the rights of the prisoners who are Muslim will be fulfilled by the KPK in the Eid al-Fitr momentum this time. One of them is through the provision of places of worship. "Id prayers will be held at the Jaya Guntur Pomdam Detention Center," said Ali. KPK also provides an opportunity for prisoners to celebrate Eid with their families. However, the time will be limited. The schedule for face-to-face visits will be given during the two days of 1 and 2 Syawal 1444 Hijriah, starting at 10.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB.

"To facilitate the gathering of all KPK detainees with their families, the KPK Detention Center provides a face-to-face visit service policy at the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1444 Hijri," Ali said. Ali added that the KPK also invited the family to provide food to their closest people who were prisoners. Food can be given on the first and second days of Eid from 07.30 WIB to 12.00 WIB.
