Considered More Defending AG Until Insinuated By David Ozora's Father, This Is KPAI's Response
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) is reluctant to comment much on the assumption that it is more about defending the child perpetrator, Agnes (AG), than the victim David Ozora in the case of severe abuse.KPAI is also reluctant to respond to comments from the victim's father so that this commission changes its name to Agnes's protection commission. KPAI only stated that currently it is still preparing answers related to David."We are preparing answers regarding the victim's child," said Deputy Chairperson of KPAI Jasra Putra when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, April 18.Previously, the victim's father David Ozora, Jonathan Latumazina, was furious and gave a striking satire to KPAI because he seemed to defend the perpetrator of the child, AG. On the Twitter account @sekexxsuck, Jonathan advised KPAI to change its name."Just change his name to the Agnes Protection Commission," tweeted Jonathan Latumahina.Without mentioning names, Jonathan then said not to really believe in any commission or institutions."Don't believe that the commissions, who are always beside you when experiencing difficult times, are family and friends. The commissions are stuck in the photos and make reports for superiors," he wrote again.KPAI previously asked the Judicial Commission (KY) to examine Sri Wahyuni Batubara, the presiding judge for trial, Agnes Gracia, in the trial of the David Ozora abuse case.In a press statement written on its official website, KPAI said that Judge Sri Wahyuni Batubara violated several principles and basic rights of children in conflict with the law."Ask the Judicial Commission to examine judge Sri Wahyudi Batubara (South Jakarta District Court Judge) ethically related to the trial process against AG's child who violated several principles and basic rights of children who were in conflict with the law," wrote the KPAI press statement, quoted on Tuesday, April 18.KPAI also expressed its objection that the judge read out in detail at the trial about AG's child sexual activity with Mario Dandy.
"The judge's considerations read out in an open trial state that child sexual activity with Mario (adult defendants) tends to be detailed, contrary to the code of ethics and code of conduct of judges, namely wise and wise behavior. Where judges are expected to have a high tolerance attitude, be careful, and take into account the consequences of their actions. The impact of the reading is increasing the frequency of labeling on children," wrote KPAI.
