Closed Session Period, DPR Officially Enters Recess Period Until May 15
JAKARTA - The plenary session of the DPR RI today officially closed the IV Session Period for the 2022-2023 Session Year at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, April 13. After the closing of today's session, the DPR RI will enter a recess period starting April 14, May-15, 2023.In closing today's trial, the leadership of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, read out the speech of the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani. In her speech, Puan reported the DPR's performance during the trial periodPuan said that the DPR together with the Government had completed 11 Draft Laws (RUU) into Law (UU) during the trial period IV of the 2022-2023 Session Year.“ Two of them are the Determination of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) No. 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation and Perppu No. 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections,” Puan said in a speech read by Dasco.In addition, said Puan, the DPR RI has set a bill on the Protection of Domestic Workers (PPRT) as a proposal for the DPR RI Initiative. He ensured that the discussion of the PPRT Bill would be carried out comprehensively and pay attention to input and aspirations from various parties.This “RUU is expected to meet our national legal needs and provide legal certainty for domestic workers, the PDIP legislator said.In today's Plenary Meeting, the DPR ratified the bill on the Continent Landas into law. The DPR also ratified the Results of the Feasibility and Proper Test for Candidates for Members of the Supervisory Board of the Indonesian Republic of Indonesia's Television Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP TVRI) for the 2022-2027 Period.In addition, the DPR ratified a report from Commission I of the DPR regarding the results of discussions on the Acceptance of Alpalhankam Grants from abroad. As well as agreeing to extend the discussion time of several bills, namely the Draft Law on New Energy and Renewable Energy, the Draft Law on Conservation of Biological Natural Resources and their Ecosystems. As well as the Draft Law on Maternal Welfare and Children.Before entering the recess period, Puan reminded the council members to greet, listen to and absorb the aspirations of the people.
"Andexplain the constitutional tasks that have been carried out by the DPR RI, as well as unite the people in the spirit of mutual cooperation to build Indonesia's progress," said Puan.
