Central Kapuas Flood Has Not Receded, Central Kalimantan Regency Government Sets Disaster Emergency Response
The Kapuas Regency Government (Pemkab) has declared a disaster emergency response status in response to the development of flood conditions in Central Kapuas District.
"We inform you regarding the flood in Central Kapuas District this morning that we have closed it with the relevant OPD, for the status from standby to being upgraded to an emergency response status," said Head of BPBD Kapuas Apanatan Sinaga Regency in Kuala Kapuas, Central Kalimantan, Friday, March 31, confiscated by Antara.
According to him, the increase in emergency response status, he continued, was based on the results of the decision of the meeting with regional apparatus organizations (OPD) that had been implemented.
Based on data from the local district Pusdalops PB-BPBD, seven villages were affected by flooding, namely Marapit, Tapen, Kota Baru, Pujon, Bajuh, Penda Muntei, and Kayu Bulan with a water level (TMA) ranging from 30 centimeters to 200 cm.

The high intensity of rain, causing the water discharge to increase so that seven villages in the Central Kapuas District, were flooded.
Due to this condition, his party is currently preparing related to public kitchens, to rubber boats needed at flood locations.
"It is planned that a team from the Kapuas OPD and related agencies such as the TNI-Polri will go together to the Central Kapuas District," he said.
In addition, he continued, the results of the coordination of the Tripika element apparatus, Central Kapuas District, will focus the public kitchen in the Central Kapuas District Office. because the location is quite high.
"Hopefully tomorrow with others we can synergize again, so that flood management in Central Kapuas and affected residents can be handled properly. We have also coordinated with the local health office and health center, so that we can comb our residents who are still in the village affected by the flood to check their health conditions," he said.
