Incentives are given through the Decree of the Minister of Finance Number 350 of 2023, Bogor City in the category of performance of the Regional Government in the Elimination of Extreme Poverty.

"So we get incentives from the vice president because we have succeeded in reducing extreme poverty. This is a form of appreciation," he said.

The handover of certificates of fiscal incentive awards has been held at the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) and the Delivery of Fiscal Incentives for the Performance Category for the Elimination of Extreme Poverty in 2023 at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (9/11).

The central government's appreciation was received directly by the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, who is also the Head of the Bogor City Regional Poverty Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPKD).

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in the event of handing over the fiscal incentive certificate said that this is a form of appreciation for local governments who are committed and perform well in efforts to eliminate extreme poverty in their regions.

This award is expected to encourage the performance of the local government to be even better, as well as expand the reach of programs in the regions for the poor family group.

The vice president also asked the local government who received the award to use it to continue the program's transformation towards the target of eliminating extreme poverty to zero percent by 2024.

"Maximize incentive funds to strengthen extreme poverty alleviation strategies, especially for activities whose benefits are directly received by the community," said Ma'ruf Amin.

The vice president also requested that the target recipients of this extreme poverty program use the data on the Order of the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE), so that it is more targeted in their intervention. Especially, groups of poor people with limited access, as well as residents of the elderly and people with disabilities.

"Intensify synergy and collaboration between ministries/agencies and local governments, universities, the business world and industry in the potential sector," he added.

The Vice President reminded that there is only one year remaining towards the target of eliminating extreme poverty to zero percent by 2024 which has been launched by the government.

He hopes that the consistency of all regional leaders will be maintained, especially in implementing strategies to reduce the burden on community spending, increase the sustainable income of extreme poor groups, and reduce the number of poverty bags.

"Empowerment of the community that prioritizes aspects of growth, social justice and affordability is also a common concern," he said.

Furthermore, the Vice President stated that various concrete steps to achieve the target of eradicating extreme poverty have been implemented, including sharpening the target of beneficiaries through developing P3KE data. In addition, program and budget convergence in the context of eliminating extreme poverty is also carried out, including through adjustments to the APBN, APBD, and APBDesa.

"The results are starting to appear. BPS noted that extreme poverty in March 2023 fell significantly to 1.12 percent," he said.
