Menhub Targetnya Awal Desember 2023 LRT Jabodebek Operasi 16 Trainset

JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi targets the Jabodebek LRT to operate with 16 train series or trainsets starting in early December 2023. Currently, 12 trainsets from the previous eight have been operated.

"The plan is that on December 1, 2023, 16 trainsets will be operational. So that the headway will also be short for songs, every 20 minutes," he said after a meeting with Commission V of the DPR, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 21.

Untuk mendukung 16 trainset ini beroperasi, Budi mengatakan upaya pergantian pada roda yang aus tersebut dengan yang baru. Ketika yang bersamaan perbaikan rel pada lintas LRT Jabodebek juga dilakukan.

"But in the medium term we will change wheels and also repair the rail so that the guarantee that 16 trainsets and also a 20-minute headway are achieved," he said.

Regarding the current operation of the Jabodebek LRT train or trainset, Budi said the addition from 8 to 12 series made the headway or waiting time for train arrivals shorter.

"Today, the trainset operated is 12 out of 8. This means that the headway, which was 60 minutes, could be 37 minutes," he explained.

Meanwhile, Director General of Railways Risal Wasal said the Jabodebek LRT headway had decreased along with the increasing number of train series operating.

"Hopefully the headway will be reduced to meet the expectations of people who choose the Jabodebek LRT as public transportation on the grounds that the time is more efficient," he said.

In detail, Risal said, the Jabodebek LRT headway from Jatimulya Station or Hajarmukti to Cawang during peak hours has now decreased from 30 minutes to 18.5 minutes. Then, the headway from Cawang Station to Dukuh Atas also decreased from 15 minutes to 9.3 minutes.

Meanwhile, during non-busy hours, the LRT headway from Jatimulya Station or Hajarmukti to Cawang decreased from 60 minutes to 37 minutes. Meanwhile, the headway from Cawang Station to Dukuh Atas also decreased from 30 minutes to 18.5 minutes.
