As Of October, AP I Notes An Increase In Reactivation & Opening Of New Routes Up 153 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) noted that there were 451 reactivations and the opening of new flight routes from January to October 2023. This figure jumped 153 percent compared to the same period in 2022, namely 178 reactivations and the opening of new routes.

"A total of 451 routes are divided into 323 reactivations of domestic routes and 84 international routes, as well as 28 openings of new domestic routes and 16 new international routes," said Angkasa Pura I President Director Faik Fahmi in a press release received by VOI, Saturday, November 18.

Faik said the first quarter of 2023 was a period with the number of route reactivations and the opening of the most routes.

"There are 320 reactivations of domestic routes and 83 international routes, as well as 3 openings of new domestic routes and 10 new international routes," he said.

Entering the second quarter of 2023, there are 1 reactivation of domestic routes, as well as 11 openings of new domestic routes and 2 new international routes.

For the third quarter of 2023, there are 2 reactivations of domestic routes and 1 international route, as well as 14 openings of new domestic routes and 4 new international routes.

"As for October 2023, there will be no reactivation and opening of new routes at Angkasa Pura I airports," said Faik.

He added, in the January-October 2023 period, there are three airports that serve route reactivation and the most new routes, namely Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with 66 domestic routes and 66 international routes.

Then, there is Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 87 domestic routes and 4 international routes, and Juanda Airport Surabaya with 73 domestic routes and 15 international routes.
