Until October 2023, The Ministry Of PUPR Completes The Construction Of The 217.8 Km Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the toll roads that had been operating until October 2023 had reached 217.8 km throughout Indonesia.

"As of October 2023, the Ministry of PUPR through the Directorate General of Highways has built a toll road infrastructure that operates for 728.85 km. With details, in 2020-2022 it will be 511.11 km, and the achievement until October 2023 is 217.8 km," said Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian in a written statement, Thursday, November 16.

Hedy said that his party continues to accelerate the construction of a number of roads, bridges and toll roads in various regions in Indonesia.

This is done in order to improve connectivity between regions and improve the community's economy.

"We are committed to implementing the Major Project in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 18 of 2020 concerning the 2020-2024 RPJMN. In addition, we also manage regular projects and assignments," said Hedy.

There are a number of toll roads that have been completed in 2023, namely the Cisumdawu Toll Road Section 1-3, Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road (Seksi Telaga Asih-Taruma Jaya), Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road Section 2, Binjai-Langsa Toll Road (Binjai- Stabat Section).

Then, the Lubuklinggau-Curup-Bengkulu Toll Road (Bengkulu-Taba Penjung Section), Pekanbaru-Padang Toll Road (Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Section), and Manado-Bitung Toll Road.

Then, the toll roads whose status is on-going or still under construction in 2023 include the IKN Toll Road, Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road Section 1B, and the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi- Parapat Toll Road Section 1-2.

For your information, the budget allocation ceiling for the Directorate General of Highways for Fiscal Year 2023 is IDR 49.31 trillion.

As for November 14, 2023, the Directorate General of Highways has absorbed IDR 47.66 trillion, which is around 60.36 percent or more than half of the total budget allocated with physical progress of 71.42 percent.
