Agriculture In IKN Wants To Be Used As A Quality Food Fulfillment Model

JAKARTA - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) said agriculture in IKN Nusantara should be a model in fulfilling quality food for the community.

"The plantation of the capital city of Nusantara must be the best agricultural model in fulfilling quality food for the community while maintaining an ecological balance," said Acting Director of Setia P Lenggono in a written statement, quoted Tuesday, November 14.

Setia said, one form of OIKN's initiative to the agricultural sector and also guarantees the continuity of the capital city is through farmer braking.

Rembuk farm is carried out in an effort to accelerate the development of sustainable agriculture and the welfare of farmers in IKN.

A total of 25 representative farmers from four sub-districts in the capital city of Nusantara held a Rembuk Farmers of the Capital City at IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

This farmer decay activity is an initiation of farmers and is organized by the Directorate of Food Security for the Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources of OIKN.

The Rembuk Farmers of the Capital City resulted in an agreement to develop a working group of capital farmers who will be tasked with formulating the institutions of the capital farmers.

Then, prepare a basic budget & household budget (AD / ART) and a farmer business program that is in line with nature.

In addition to recommending participative data collection on the presence of farmers in IKN, it is also recommended that land and potential production of agriculture be more accurate as a basis for developing better food independence in the future.
