So The Route To IKN, BPH Migas Asks Business Entities To Overcome Queues At Gas Stations

JAKARTA - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) has asked fuel providers to mitigate vehicle queues at gas stations in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

Member of the Committee of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Eman Salman Arief and Saleh Abdurrahman supervised the distribution of fuel oil (BBM) in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

In monitoring, it can be seen that there are queues at several Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU), even though the supply of fuel oil (BBM) is well available.

BPH Migas asked business entities and distributors to carry out mitigation to avoid queues of vehicles.

When monitoring at one of the gas stations, Saleh emphasized that the problems that occurred were not from the supply of fuel, but from the increasing number of consumers who filled it, while gas stations available in the Balikpapan area were relatively limited.

"The oil is available, but because the number of people who will fill at the same time is quite large, while the gas stations available within the Balikpapan area are relatively limited, causing a bit of queues," said Saleh, Tuesday, November 7.

Meanwhile, Eman Salman Arief asked the Business Entity to carry out better mitigation, including related to the use of digitization, such as CCTV so that it can be monitored continuously.

Good management must be a concern so that there are no queues, considering that fuel is the main driver of transportation modes.

Selain itu, wilayah Balikpapan juga menjadi salah satu jalur masyarakat untuk menuju ke Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).

"Our job and Pertamina Patra Niaga ensure that there are no queues in distributing fuel to the community," he said.

Sales Branch Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Rayon I, East Kalimantan, Ferry Fernando said that in order to unravel the queue, his party implemented a queue number system, so that people did not have to queue for too long.

Meanwhile, Sales Area Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, East Kalimantan Area, Ayub Ritto, stated that his party ensured that the availability of fuel in the Balikpapan area was safe.

His party will also follow up on input from BPH Migas in order to ensure the smooth distribution of fuel to the community.
