JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has started auctioning off three packages of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Section III Cileles-Panimbang project with a total value of IDR 4.8 trillion.

Quoting from the official LPSE PU website, Tuesday, September 26, the toll road project auction is divided into three work packages.

First, the construction of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Section III phase 2 package 1 worth IDR 1.008 trillion.

Second, the construction of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Section III phase 2 package 2 worth IDR 1.692 trillion.

Third, the construction of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Section III phase 2 package 3 worth IDR 2.134 trillion.

Thus, the total number of toll road project work packages reached IDR 4.8 trillion.

The construction of the toll road will use the APBN for the 2023 fiscal year (TA).

The determination of the auction winners for the three project packages is on November 2, 2023 or no later than November 6, 2023.

Meanwhile, the signing of the contract will be targeted on November 17, 2023 or no later than November 20, 2023.

Previously reported, the Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian said that the completion of the Serang-Panimbang toll road was slightly delayed. This is due to a budget shortage for the construction of the toll road project.

"The attacks, right, there is a budget shortage of around Rp. 5 trillion. So, it is a bit slow down (development)," Hedy said after being met at the Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission V of the DPR RI in Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 6.

Hedy said that with the lack of budget, his party would seek loans through domestic financing (loan) to be able to continue the toll road project.

"Because of this, the one who is section 2 is opened, if the section 3 is not finished, right, it's useless," he said.

Even so, continued Hedy, his party will try to get the financing loan as quickly as possible, so that the rest of the Serang-Panimbang toll road construction, section 3, can be completed.

"We are looking for financing, but God willing, next year the remaining construction of section 3 will begin," he added.

The toll roads in Banten Province will further encourage the improvement of the community's economy in the Banten area, especially through the industrial and tourism sectors.

As one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN), the construction of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road infrastructure has a total length of 83.67 km.
