JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Infracore Asia revealed that Develon is a new name for the heavy equipment they produce. Develon replaces Doosan's name, who has been known in the world of heavy equipment for decades.
President Director of PT Hyundai Infracore Asia Hee Woong-shin said the new name had been introduced this year and was intensively promoted through the Indonesia Energy & Engineering (IEE) Series 2023 at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta since Wednesday, September 13.
The IEE itself will last until Saturday 16 September and will be attended by several companies playing in the heavy equipment sector, including PT Hyundai Infracore.
"We want to promote a new name. Develon means development forwards, so we want to be better in the future," explained Hee wongshin at the Develon booth, Thursday, September 14.
"It will definitely take time for consumers to get used to new names. But, we are not new players, we have been doing business in Indonesia since 20 years ago," he continued.
Manager of PT Hyundai Infracore Asia Stephanus Dwi said that his party has a strategy to introduce Develon to potential customers. First, through the Part Distribution Center (PDC) which has been opened in Jakarta.
PDC is intended to meet part needs nationally. In addition, service points will also be made throughout Indonesia which will reach branches through dealers throughout the country.

With these steps, said Dwi, it is hoped that the target to reap 6 percent of the heavy equipment market share can be achieved.
"Step by step, we want to be able to take the 6 percent heavy equipment market, currently it's still 3 percent," he continued.
"We also hope to contribute to Indonesia's development, such as in the construction sector, construction of roads or bridges, mining, and also focus on the development of the capital city of the archipelago," concluded Dwi.
