Exceeding Quota, ELpiji Realization 3 Kg Until August Breaks 5.39 Million MT

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga recorded that the distribution of 3 kg LPG until August 2023 reached 5.39 million MT. This number exceeds the quota prepared at 5.34 million MT.

"The distribution of PSO LPG has now reached 5.39 for YtD August 2023 where the distribution is 0.9 percent larger," said Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Riva Siahaan, Wednesday, September 13.

Riva melanjutkan, sebelumnya pemerintah telah menetapkan kuota eppiji tabung melon tersebut di tahun 2023 adalah sebesar 8 juta MT termasuk cadangan sebesar 0,5 juta MT.

With such a large distribution, he said, Pertamina estimates that consumption until the end of the year will determine the figure of 8.25 million MT. However, Riva explained that the realization of CP Aramco (CPA) is still under the reference for the assumption of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

"And what is quite important can be reported that based on YtD 2023 in August, currently the prognosis figure is under the state budget of 22 percent," explained Riva.

Previously, on a separate occasion, the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati projected that 3 kg Elpji would experience excesses from the initial quota of 8 million KL to 8.28 MT.

"This trend is increasing. With improving economic growth, the impact is that the bbm subsidies and LPG demand are creeping up," Nicke said at the Coordination Meeting for Year's Inflation Control with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Monday, September 4.

However, Nicke ensured that Pertamina would still ensure that LPG and diesel stocks and supplies were safe and would continue to be available.

This is intended so that the prices of diesel and LPG in circulation do not increase drastically and scarcity can be avoided.
