The Ministry Of PUPR Expressed The Settlement Of A Number Of PSN Mundur From The Initial Target

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Mohammad Zainal Fatah revealed that it still needs extra time to complete all national strategic projects (PSN).

Zainal said that all PSNs are targeted for completion in the first semester of 2024.

However, he did not deny that there were a number of PSNs that were the responsibility in his ministry that could only be completed after that time.

Related to this, he continued, the Ministry of PUPR has written to the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy as the coordinator of PSN.

"There used to be a directive that when PSN was finished in the middle of the first semester, it wasn't. So, (part of the PSN) can be completed until October, of course we ask for approval from the middle of the year," said Zainal at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 12.

Zainal said that his party would not issue the list of projects from PSN, but only asked for permission so that the completion would not be timely in the first semester of 2024.

"We ask for permission so that (the PSN project) can still be carried out, but reach the deadline," he said.

Furthermore, Zainal admitted that he did not remember what projects his completion would require additional time.

"I don't memorize it, there is a dam, a toll road," he said.

As for July 2023, the Ministry of PUPR has completed 87 National Strategic Projects (PSN) from the 125 PSN target mandated by the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) for the Economy.

The 87 PSNs that have been completed consist of 36 dams, 2 irrigation projects, 27 toll roads, 4 non-toll roads, 3 drinking water supply systems (SPAM), 7 housing projects, 7 national cross-border gates (PLBN), and 1 education infrastructure.

Then, there are 24 PSN targeted to be completed by the end of 2023. In this regard, the Ministry of PUPR asked for dispensation so that a number of PSNs were completed until the second semester of 2024.

From the dam project, five were asked for compensation to be allowed to finish in the second semester of 2024, namely Bener Dam in Purworejo, Lalu Simeme Dam in North Sumatra, Budong-budong Dam in West Sulawesi, Bolango Ulu Dam in Gorontalo, and Mbay Dam in East Nusa Tenggara.

Meanwhile, there are three toll projects that are requested for dispensation because they can only be completed in the second semester of 2024, namely the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road in Banten, the Patimban Access Toll Road in Indramayu, and the Semarang-Demak Toll Road.
