Cheerful Welcoming Positive Electric Vehicle Trends In Indonesia

The trend of electric vehicles in the country with its ecosystem such as batteries has been responded positively by PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria).

The company, which is led by the Derian Sakmiwata, reiterated that it will be in front of the supply chain curve and the EV industry globally.

This affirmation conveyed by Derian at The 2nd Nickel Producers, Processors, & Buyers Conference at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.

Derian said, Cheerful contributed to the development of a battery ecosystem that has the potential to drive a more sustainable world.

He said, it has become part of the vision and mission of Cheer to provide high-quality nickel products. Which provides added value for stakeholders while still supporting the environment and the local community.

"The roadmap category will position the company as a competitive player both in the nickel market and the domestic and international Electric Vehicle (EV) battery industry," said Derian Sakmiwata, Saturday, September 2.

As a national company whose shares are wholly owned by domestic shareholders, Cheerful also contributes to state revenues so as to encourage regional and national economic growth and support development programs.

Cheerful also realizes that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) or the environment, social, and governance are the main bases in running future-oriented companies.

According to him, the challenges and opportunities faced by the nickel industry, including the importance of ESG in industry, are a special concern for Cheerful in adopting responsible and sustainable mining practices.

"It is very important for the nation's children to master mineral exploration and extraction technology so that they can maximize the added value of natural resources, in this case, domestic minerals with a sustainable business process," said Derian.

Cheerfully it has implemented a roadmap in each ESG framework as part of a transformation strategy by continuing to improve business processes, as well as involving internal audits and assessments from external parties.

"Believedness must also improve a better standard of living for the community around the area of operation," continued Derian.

Furthermore, he explained, Ceria's existence was marked by support from the central government by providing status as a National Strategic Project (PSN) and National Vital Objects (Obvitnas) in Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Cheerfully the roadmap towards the battery ecosystem is in line with the government's program to realize mineral downstream in the country.
