Telkom Inaugurates Data Center In Bandar Lampung, Realizing A National Digital Ecosystem

JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) inaugurated the neuCentrIX data center in Tanjung Karang District, Bandar Lampung City, Lampung Province, as an effort to accelerate the realization of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia.

"Every digital industry player from within and outside the country opens the doors and facilities to join neuCentrIX wherever they are," said Telkom Wholesale & International Service Director Bogi Witjaksono, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 25.

Bogi invites all digital industry players to work together to survive in the midst of the presence of Over The Top (OTT), with the spirit of growing together through neutral data centers supported by connectivity infrastructure to content, internet exchange,CDN (Content Delivery Network) until digital independence is achieved.

Dengan neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang, ia berharap perseroan bisa memberikan kontribusi dalam mengembangkan kualitas telecommunications dan ekosistem IT di wilayah Provinsi Lampung dan sekitarnya.

Previously, Telkom had inaugurated the commercialization of the Palembang IX neuCentr, which until now has established five data centers on the island of Sumatra, namely in the cities of Medan, Batam, Pekanbaru, and Palembang.

"Telkom seeks to provide the best experience using high-speed internet and access to digital products through data center development in 23 locations spread across 17 major cities in Indonesia," said Bogi.

On the same occasion, Telkom Regional I EVP Sumatra Area Djatmiko said 30 percent of the Tanjung Karang neuCentrIX rack has been filled out of total capacity, which shows a positive response to the surrounding digital ecosystem of Lampung to the presence of the fifth neuCentrIX on the island of Sumatra.

neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang telah dibangun dengan menerapkan kriteria 3S (Simple, Standard, dan Secure). Untuk itu kami meminta dukungan dan kerja sama seluruh stakeholder neuCentrIX ini agar disiplin menjaga kualitas 3S," ujar Djatmiko.
