Erick Thohir Ensures Corruption Of BUMN Dapen Will Be Reported To The AGO In September

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) will submit a report on alleged corruption in the pension fund (dapen) of state-owned companies to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) in September 2023.

For your information, the report on the alleged corruption case of the state company's retired investment fund must be submitted to the AGO in July 2023. However, the audit conducted by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) has not been completed.

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, said that the audit of the state-owned company will only be completed in September. After that, he said, it would be reported to the AGO.

"Indeed, we wanted the end of July (2023), but after BPKP he said September. Yes, we can't push it," said Erick when met in the SCBD area, South Jakarta, written Tuesday, August 15.

Furthermore, Erick explained that complaints of corruption against SOEs must be made. The goal is that these employee pension funds are free from mafia or corruptors.

Reflecting on the cases of PT Jiwasraya (Persero), PT Asabri (Persero), and PT Taspen (Persero), said Erick, cleaning up BUMN is important.

According to Erick, there are two root problems with BUMN pension funds, namely corruption and mismanagement, aka mismanagement. He said, the problem was discovered after his party mapped.

"We also see that the pension funds have been mapped and completed and audited by BPKP. After auditing we can map which ones are fraud, corruption, and which are mismanagements. There are two, make no mistake," he said.
