It was stated that the Ministry of Trade had also imposed administrative sanctions in the form of a warning to Jombingo and would recommend sanctions in the form of revocation of permits.

The Task Force said it would support the Ministry of Trade to move firm action in accordance with applicable regulations and cooperate with law enforcement officials (APH) in handling it.

Furthermore, the task force again appealed to the public to avoid illegal online loans

Beware Of Mistransfer Fraud Mode

The Task Force also reminded the public about the many reports regarding the wrong mode of transfer from illegal lenders who sent funds to someone through their account at the Bank, even though the person never applied for a loan.

The person then threatened the recipient to immediately carry out an appeal or repayment with a larger amount of funds.

In this regard, the Task Force provides tips for people who are victims of the fraud mode as follows:

1. Do not use the funds that have been received from these individuals.

2. Collect the evidence of the wrong transfer via screenshot, and then report it to the local police station and request a letter of receipt of the report. Save the evidence of the report properly.

3. Report this to the Bank and apply for detention of funds' for the transfer of these individuals. Detention of these funds is carried out until it is clear who is the responsible party.

4. If contacted and terrorized by an individual, there is no need to be afraid or worried. Information that you do not use the funds disbursed or never apply for a loan. If necessary, contact blocking can be carried out.
