Rumored To Be Pertamina's Managing Director, Ahok Is Considered Not The Right Person

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VI of the DPR from the Social Justice Party (PKS) faction Amin AK has raised his voice about the issue of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok being the President Director of Pertamina. Amin assessed that Ahok was not the right person.

For your information, recently the issue of Ahok being predicted to become the President Director of Pertamina has identified Nicke Widyawati. Meanwhile, Ahok currently serves as the President Commissioner of Pertamina.

"Regarding Pak Ahok's discourse to become the President Director of Pertamina, I personally think he is not the right person for this position," Amin said when contacted by VOI, Monday, July 24.

Amin said his view was not without reason. First, Amin assessed that during his tenure as President Commissioner of Pertamina, Ahok's performance was normal.

"Second, Mr. Ahok's figure stands out more as a politician than a businessman or professional," he said.

Regarding the issue of the plan to change Pertamina's Managing Director, Amin admitted that he did not know whether it would become a reality in the near future or not.

"The Minister of SOEs himself has not expressly disclosed this, either in front of Commission VI or in public spaces," he said.

Even so, Amin emphasized that the change of SOE directors itself is the authority of the Minister of SOEs, without having to ask for consideration or input from Commission VI of the DPR RI.

"As a member of Commission VI of the DPR RI in partnership with the ministries of SOEs and SOEs itself, I always encourage figures who are selected as Directors and Commissioners of SOEs to be people with integrity and competence," he explained.

Moreover, said Amin, the Ministry of SOEs itself already has core values for directors and commissioners, namely AKHLAK or Amanah, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative.
