In Order To Break Into The International Market, Moeldoko Encourages MSME Actors To Take Advantage Of Online Platforms

KETAPANG - Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko constantly encourages business, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to take advantage of online platforms to market and sell their products. In addition to boosting turnover, the use of online applications is also a medium to raise MSME classes.

The President's order is clear, MSMEs must immediately advance to class. MSMEs must enter the digital world. Why digital? Because it is easy to promote and recognized by others to all Indonesians, it can even go international," said Moeldoko while attending the MSME exhibition, at the Ketapang Regent's office, West Kalimantan, Saturday (22/7).

As is known, President Joko Widodo is targeting 30 million MSME players to enter the digital ecosystem, by 2024. Currently, the government has succeeded in digitizing 19 million MSME actors.

Moeldoko emphasized that the existence of MSMEs as the backbone of the Indonesian economy has been proven. At the time of the 1998 economic crisis, MSMEs became a mainstay and supported the economy. Likewise, during the COVID-19 pandemic, MSMEs were relatively able to survive. This is the reason, why the government poured out social assistance and incentives for MSMEs during COVID19," he explained.

"MSMEs are powerful. So they must be maintained, raised from time to time. So that they can still become a growth engine," he added.

On that occasion, the 2013-2015 TNI Commander also encouraged the Ketapang regional government, to mobilize MSMEs to immediately enter the digital ecosystem. I invite all of them, so that MSMEs are reproduced, their class is increased, and soon enter the digital world," he said.
