Questioning Ahok's Issue Of Being Pertamina's Managing Director, Erick Thohir: It Could Happen

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir spoke about the issue of reshuffle of the directors of PT Pertamina (Persero). Including the issue of Basuki Tjahja Purnama alias Ahok becoming the President Director of Pertamina.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta currently serves as President Commissioner at PT Pertamina (Persero).

Erick admitted that the reshuffle of the management of the state-owned company in the field of oil and gas could have happened.

However, he could not confirm whether there was a change of position, because there was no decision.

"I think the tour of duty (change of position) could happen. But I can't confirm that there has been a decision yet," he told reporters at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Friday, July 21.

Erick emphasized that until now there has been no decision to reshuffle Pertamina's directors.

Including the appointment of a new name for the position of President Director and President Commissioner.

"Until today, not yet," he said.

In addition, Erick also mentioned his meeting with Pertamina President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati.

He said the summons of the two were not to discuss the replacement.

Erick said Ahok's summons was related to the Pelumpang Depo fire some time ago. The meeting was to share perceptions.

Meanwhile, the meeting with Nicke, continued Erick, was to discuss the company's program.
