Sido Appears To Hold Free Cataract Operations At The Police Hospital

JAKARTA - In order to welcome Bhayangkara's 77th Anniversary, Kramat Jati Police Hospital, PT. Jamu and Pharmacy Industry Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) in collaboration with Perdami DKI Jakarta Branch held a Free Cataract Operations Social Health Service for 200 catatak sufferers at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, Jakarta, on Saturday, June 24.

This social health service was attended by the Head of the National Police's Health and Health Center (Kapusdokkes), Inspector General Asep Hendradiana, and all high-ranking health officials of the other two parties.

Director of PT Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, explained that the implementation of free cataract operations is part of Sido Muncul's commitment to participate in preparing a healthy young generation in the future.

Moreover, Indonesia is predicted to get a demographic bonus in the next 10 years as a result of a high birth rate.

Irwan added that the implementation of Free Cataract Operations is Sido Muncul's commitment to improving public health, especially in terms of vision. As of 2011 until now, Sido Muncul has operated more than 56 thousand eyes throughout Indonesia.

"With this activity, I hope that the number of people with cataracts will get smaller. Because if people lose sight, 50% of the quality of life is lost. Moreover, there are a lot of cataract problems and it continues to grow every year. For that, our presence here is not only helping, but also telling people that cataracts can be cured only with surgery," said Irwan, quoted Friday, June 30.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police, dr. Asep Hendradiana explained, Baktikes Operasi Catarak at Bhayangkara Hospital was carried out using phacoemulsification technology targeting 200 catarrak patients. As for the 77th Bhayangkara Anniversary series, it targets a thousand patients with cataract surgery.

This activity is also a follow-up activity of the 77th anniversary of Bhayangkara. With the target of cataract operations approaching a thousand patients this year. God willing, this target can be exceeded and achieved," he explained.

On this occasion, Karumkit Polri Kramat Jati, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Hariyanto, Sp.Pd said that Sido Muncul's free catarrak operation batikes activity is a series of commemorations of the 77th Bhayangkara Day.

"This health service has started on June 22, which was centered in Surabaya, East Java and opened by the National Police Chief. Today until July 1, 2023, there will still be a series of other health services," said Dr. Hariyanto.

As the host of the cataract operation, Dr. Hariyanto thanked Sido Muncul and all parties for the solid cooperation from preparation to implementation of health services.
