Bappenas: Indonesia's Per-Kapita Revenue Can Reach 30,300 US Dollars By 2045

JAKARTA - Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa projects that Indonesia's per capita income will be able to reach 30,300 US dollars by 2045.

"In 2045, we hope that the Indonesian nation will become a country with per capita income equivalent to developed countries, which is estimated to reach 30,300 US dollars per capita or we will reach 21,000 US dollars by 2037," said Suharso, quoted from Antara, Friday, June 16.

He conveyed this during the launch of the final draft of the 2025 2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) to realize the 'Golden Indonesia 2045 Visi' in Jakarta, Thursday.

Suharso explained, the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045 also targets Indonesia as a country that has strong leadership and influence in the international community, with a poverty rate close to 0 percent and a reduced percentage of inequality.

To realize this target, RPJPN 2025-2045 has formulated 8 Development Agendas, 17 Development Directions measured through 45 Main Development Indicators.

In the face of a global megatren driven by technological disruption, Indonesia must be able to create change.

Suharso emphasized the importance of the role of the younger generation and industrialization in welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045.

"Indonesia's young generation, the big strategy we need is a strategy that is mainly industrialization as one of the answers to generate, encourage the growth of Indonesia's economy and we must focus on certain industries, we hope that the growth of the manufacturing industry can be higher than economic growth so that its contribution to the manufacturing industry to GDP can reach 30 percent," he said.

To be more effective, the government will focus on certain industries. The industries include the first, the Natural Resources Industry (SDA). Second, the Basic Industry which includes Basic Chemistry and Metals.

Third, the Medium-High Technology Industry which includes shipping and aerospace, automotive and defense. Fourth, namely the Sustainable Consumption Industry which includes the Food and Beverage Industry, Textile and Footwear Industry.

The fifth as well as the last, namely Innovation and Research-Based Industry, such as Biotechnology.
